The Barclays Community Wings is an internal learning tool designed to help Barclays employees better understand the needs of customers within their communities.
The platform helps users to understand the needs of customers with specific issues or requirements and promotes partnership with other local organisations to build better links throughout the community.
The programme is accredited by the Institute of Customer Service and content has been created in partnership with the Money Advice Service, Step Change and other national organisations and charities.
Users are provided with article and video based content on a variety of modules and assessed on their learning through taking time-based quizzes.
Successful completion of content is rewarded by badges and points as users compete for status on a leader board.
The team at Barclays are able to publish learning in wide and varied formats appropriate to the topic. Modules can be delivered through the use of video and traditional text/ image based article formats or a mixture of both.
A reporting system allows Barclays Administrators access to a full range of MI and data to assess improvements and developments in staff knowledge.
The Barclays Community Wings is one of three applications in the Barclays Wings programme and sits alongside Barclays Digital Wings and Barclays Financial Wings. Since developing the Barclays Digital Wings we have since delivered various other gamified learning platforms for Barclays including the Barclays Learning Labs and the Compliance Passport with others in the pipeline too.
